Dermatology (Skin issues)

Skin disease is a common problem that can cause distress for both pets and owners. A physical exam is the first step in allowing the veterinarian to diagnose the problem. Further tests such as skin scrapings, bloodwork and fugnal cultures may be necessary to determine what is plaguing your pet. It is important to have your pet examined as soon as you notice any kind of skin problem. Scratching, biting, or licking can aggravate or amplify whatever problem your pet is having, as well as add to their discomfort.
